Structural Engineering
Our Structural Engineering department’s primary role is to design the structural framing (beams, columns, walls, floors, roof) and foundations of any structure to ensure the building’s structural integrity is maintained under worst-case conditions. Additionally, the structural engineer provides input to the Architect, Project Manager, and Contractor, as to the feasibility of various foundation and framing systems based on site conditions, economic constraints and time schedules to select the proper system. During the preliminary design phase of a project, the engineer will select framing layouts, baysizes, floor elevations and thickness. Additional services include selecting foundation systems and performing initial design of primary structural components.
